Camillus House is a non-profit organization that provides humanitarian services to men, women and children who are poor and homeless in Miami-Dade County, Florida since 1960. Camillus House is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax-exempt organization under section 501 (c)(3), tax id # 65-0032862. Camillus House provides a comprehensive continuum of care for poor and homeless persons through services that include emergency, transitional, and permanent housing; food, clothing, showers, outreach; substance abuse and mental health treatment; case management, rent assistance; work training and job development; and, health care services through its sister organization Camillus Health Concern.

Yes. Gifts of $15 or more receive a confirmation letter once processed. If your donation was made through the Camillus House website and we have an active email for you on file, your donation confirmation letter will be sent electronically unless otherwise requested.

Tax letters will be sent to all donors no later than January 31.

No, we don’t. Camillus House greatly values our supporters and will not share, sell or trade donor information under any circumstance, nor will we send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations.

Our mailings are prepared well before you receive them, so please accept our apologies for any materials you get while your request is processed. We can also reduce the amount of mail you receive from us. Please contact us if you wish to discuss these options.

Yes! We have two signature events each year, The Hope for All Gala in December and The Auction held each April. For more information, please visit the special events section of our website.

Camillus House gladly welcomes items including clothing, furniture, medical equipment and supplies for our Pet Kennel for use in our programs to serve our community’s most vulnerable.

Your donation can be dropped off at these locations: 1) The bins located at the entrance of our main campus, 1603 NW 7th Avenue in Miami. 2) St. Louis Catholic Church, 7270 SW 120th Street in Pinecrest. 3) Our warehouse at 2020 NW 23rd Street, Miami, FL 33142. (Larger donations should be taken here and can be dropped off weekdays from 8 am – 4 pm.)
