Camillus House, a non-profit with life-changing programs that meet the varying needs of the struggling and homeless, today announced the selection of Eddie Gloria as Chief Operating Officer (COO). This recent appointment marks the return of Mr. Gloria to Camillus House who worked for and grew with the nonprofit in various roles including Director of Strategy and Grants and Vice President of Strategy and Housing DevelopmeHeadshot Eddie Gloriant, with his last role being COO from 2016 to 2018.

Mr. Gloria will play a pivotal role in the nonprofit’s continuous efforts to drive growth and enhance operational and programmatic efficiency. He will lead program and business operations across 11 sites located throughout the County that are owned and/or operated by Camillus House, at the 350,000 square foot multi-use main campus, as well as the agency’s grant development, fleet, IT, Facilities, Security and client support operations.

Throughout his accomplished career, Mr. Gloria served as the Chief Operating Officer for the Alpha-1 Foundation in Coral Gables. Most recently, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Venice, where he steered the organization through substantial growth amidst pandemics and major disasters.

Mr. Gloria completed his undergraduate and graduate studies at Florida International University in Miami and holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA).

As a ministry of the Hospitaller Order of St. John of God, Camillus House was originally established to serve Cuban exiles. From its humble beginning as a small soup kitchen, Camillus has grown into a full-service organization offering a comprehensive “system of care” including food, clothing, emergency, transitional and permanent housing, physical and mental health care, and substance abuse treatment.
