Project Phoenix
About the program |
Project Phoenix provides hospitality, healing, and housing for survivors of human trafficking in a safe and secure environment. This important recovery program serves women over the age of 18 with the goal of helping each person develop self-esteem, self-efficacy and ultimately live independent lives. Camillus House works closely with the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office who refer individuals to the program at no cost to them for this service. |
how it works |
Project Phoenix provides a holistic approach to restoration. The program is designed in three phases: Rest, Restoration, and Replenishment. Our approach to treatment addresses the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, psychological and vocational needs of each person. Services are provided 7 days a week in a safe and secure living environment 24 hours daily by Camillus House staff. Each resident is assigned a counselor and case manager who is responsible for the residents’ service coordination and the development and implementation of an Individualized Treatment Plan. Goals and objectives are then developed utilizing the psychosocial assessment and conversations with the individual. |
ADMISSION CRITERIA |
All persons entering Project Phoenix are first screened and must complete a psychosocial assessment by the staff. The purpose for the assessment is to identify needs, strengths, abilities, preferences and concerns and how best Camillus House can assist with these identified needs. The assessment may include, but not limited to, information on social, mental, family, substance history, legal, and medical history.
