Emmaus Place, a seven-unit apartment building in downtown Miami directly across from the Somerville Residence, has been renovated and transformed into a housing facility for young men between the ages of 18 and 23, who have aged out of the foster care system and do not have the necessary resources to live independently.
• Criteria: Males, transitioning out of foster care, ages 18–23; attending school or working with Case Manager to develop plan.
• Services provided by Casa Valentina, an external agency.
• Residents pay 30% of adjusted gross income as part of their client contribution.
