Institute for Social and Personal Adjustment (ISPA)

Two major reasons why individuals become homeless are substance abuse and mental health issues. Most times, individuals have dual diagnosis of both of these. Addiction and mental health issues are diseases - not choices. As such, at Camillus House we provide treatment so that clients can overcome their ills and return to being productive members of our society.

The Institute for Personal and Social Adjustment (ISPA), is a comprehensive program designed to treat mental illness and substance abuse as co-occurring disorders. ISPA also provides services in South Dade through its outpatient clinic. ISPA is currently licensed for outpatient, day/night, residential, and aftercare services, and includes components for family therapy, wellness, relapse prevention, and co-occurring addictions. A psychiatrist provides psychiatry services and monitor medications. A relationship with Jackson Memorial Hospital ensures that clients are able to obtain all of their medications for free.
