Camillus House has been providing services to the poor and homeless
of South Florida since 1960. We began operations at the request of the
Archdiocese of Miami to assist with the large and increasing Cuban immigration.
As Miami changed and grew, so did the needs of the poor in our community.
What began as a “storefront” operation has grown into a full
continuum of care offering services to thousands of individuals. We invite
you to explore the different programs Camillus House offers.
Compassionate Hospitality – A variety of services to bring dignity and basic assistance to individuals on the streets and those on the fringe of being homeless
Continuum of Housing – Emergency, transitional and permanent housing programs providing shelter for over 700 poor and homeless individuals.
Comprehensive Healing – Comprehensive treatment for two of the major causes of chronic homelessness: substance abuse and mental health issues.
Career Help – JOB Employment Program (industry-specific on-the-job training).
